FIFTEEN IDENTITIES TWO TECHNICIAN ROLES02

INSIDE ISSUE 02 / JL:U

The first ticket found a path. Now the desk needs a team.

The lab now records fifteen enabled directory identities imported into GLPI. All fifteen have Self-Service access; Barbara and Ted also have Technician access and belong to IT Service Desk. The directory check verified all 49 expected non-service group memberships. That changes the question from “can one ticket close?” to “does the right person see—and do—the right thing?”

What JL:U means here

The cover shorthand marks the League expanding beyond Clark’s one-user pilot. The wider roster is in the domain and imported into the service desk; that does not mean every member has completed a login or access test.

The directory-to-desk path

Active Directory holds the synthetic people, groups, and memberships. GLPI connects over LDAPS, imports approved users, and applies its own application profiles. The recorded audit found 17 expected organizational units, 15 users, 13 groups, and all 49 expected non-service memberships in the live directory.

WHAT FOLLOWED

The assignments were checked, Ted later signed in with Technician and Self-Service profiles, and a Self-Service attempt to open ticket 9 was denied. The full role-by-role matrix is still open; Issue 03 follows those boundaries into the working desk.
